He worked for the UN Earth government as a virologist - he studied viruses to identify the mutations necessary to increase/decrease their lethality and how they could be modified to target specific sub-populations.

One of the weaponized viruses he worked on was used to quell rebellious Belters on one of the system's moons... it managed to wipe out 163 Belters in a two week period. It was too successful and the corporation (Protogen) he works for has come under scrutiny - it is now trying to hide its involvement by purging all evidence, that includes its staff. My character was absent from work when the cleanup began - he received a tip off and ran.

He has a vial of the virus (it's in super hardened glass - cryogenically frozen), full research notes on how it works/animal model data/ details of how the colony was infected - he also has an antidote which kinda works.

He's left Earth, he's running...

Currently employed as Medic on the Canterbury (Grade 3)
